Easter Week

Easter Week with The Small Seed

I found out about The Small Seed last year, through a friend on Instagram. They are an amazing platform for Christians (of all denominations) to find ways to inspire and be inspired, increase their faith and share their beliefs.

They offer a study package for Eater Week, which is free to download and it offers different ways to celebrate, learn and remember, the events of the last week of Christ's life on earth, His death and resurrection. This year, they are offering the Easter Week package both in English and Spanish.

The package includes images, scripture passages, songs and  family activities that help us focus on the real meaning of this holiday, and not just on the pretty decorations, the baskets with presents or the eggs filled with candy.

Don't get me wrong, I love all those parts of Easter. As a family it is so much fun to see the excitement that the egg hunt brings, and the pretty carrots, chicks and bunny decorations. I love it!  all this decorations and symbols are part of Easter traditions, and I am a fan of traditions.

But I wanted to create another -more significant-  tradition for my own family. I wanted to invite the Spirit of the Lord into my home and honor the sacrifice Christ made for us. I wanted to teach my child about Christ and the importance and meaning of this week's events, even at his young age. And this is the reason I am sharing this post with you.

This is our first year doing this study guide and I can tell already, that Easter has a deeper meaning than years before. The activities are very simple and friendly for all ages, and they don't take too much time to prepare. I am excited to see how this new family tradition changes and grows, as my boy gets older and we add more members to our family.

If you decide to participate and use their study guides and posters, make sure to tag them using their hashtags, they would love to see how you are celebrating Easter Week: #thesmallseedeaster #smallseedpascua or #thesmallseed.

Also, make sure to follow them on their social media channels so you can receive updates for inspirational messages, or the other study packages or teaching aids they offer for different holidays and celebrations, such as Christmas, Valentine's Day and Thanksgiving.
